I finally canceled both. We don’t order enough movies or games to make either of these services pay off, financially. The result would have been different if the Netflix Video On Demand service supported OS X.

Congrats to Alex King on the long awaited releases of Tasks 2.7 and Tasks Pro 1.7! I go back and forth between paper and digital task tracking and, in my experience, Tasks is a fantastic digital option. Now that it has tags, there’s no stopping it!
Greg is right! Adobe Kuler is excellent and a lot of fun! The comments in the lifehacker post on the subject are filled with other color scheme apps, too!
The ScobleShow is off to a great start. The wide screen format for the videos is wonderful.
Some highlights:
Referring to all the game changing advancements coming to the automobile industry and how big car companies could get really beaten by the competition if they don’t pursue the right set of technologies, Jonathan Schwartz says he’s [...]
For me, and I assume many others, RocketBoom and Amanda are synonymous. I’m NOT going to automatically subscribe to the ‘new’ RocketBoom, however I WILL automatically subscribe to the next show Amanda does. Same thing happened, for many, with David Letterman and Howard Stern.
So, my advice is this, Amanda. You have the leverage. IF you [...]
I’d love to see someone from Placebase comment on their abilities relative to the TechCrunch online maps roundup. From what I’ve seen, they compare pretty well, which means companies who want to have their own, branded, ad-free, fully supported map integration need look no further!
I just got my invite for the Riya Private Beta (thanks!). I haven’t installed this version, yet, but the coolest part about their beta is this:

Amazon recently introduced a feature called Product Previews for people who are using their Associates program. It’s pretty cool. Amazon Associates is Amazon’s affiliates system where sites link to Amazon products and banners with a special id in the url which gives the Associate a share of the profits from the sale of [...]
TechCrunch on FlySpy:
I give it a departure city and a destination city and optionally a departure date and length of stay. The search result, which returns very quickly, will present me with a graph of flight prices over the next 30 days so that I can quickly look at which days are the cheapest to [...]
It appears that, even though I ping Technorati with every update to my blog, it’s missing the last 60 days worth of posts. Oh Brother. And, do you know how I noticed? That’s right, brrreeeport.
Since I do most of my web reading through an RSS Aggregator, I JUST noticed this cool feature of Slashdot. When did they introduce previews of items that didn’t make it to the main page. Great idea, in my opinion. No doubt motivated by Digg’s success. Competition is grand.
As many have already noted, it would be a HUGE mistake for Yahoo! to give up on search. Apparently, some of the Yahoo! team agree:
This commitment to being the best should be crystal clear from our investments in talented people, research, innovation and new products. Believe it or not, we are still in the early [...]
It’s called Alchemy. You write up the specs for the object you want and people bid on the opportunity to create it for you. Fantastic!!!
Some example jobs: Batman-themed, high quality leather laptop bag. Anotomical Heart in Needlepoint. Cute crochet doll of our doggie. He’s a chihuahua mix.
If there was some way to mark blog posts [...]
I’ve been reading the information aesthetics blog regularly as I’m a HUGE fan of data visualization. Today, they linked to the netlag world webcam map. Holy cow - this is a video that you must see.
Says information aesthetics:
An impressive reality video of 1609 different webcams positioned around the world. specially developed software called [...]
